Coffee_News Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Although you are allowed to distribute Coffee News only within this territory, you may solicit and accept advertisements from sources both inside and outside your territory. You may solicit advertising clients both from within your territory and outside your territory by any means that you deem appropriate. We place no restriction on outside territory solicitation. We do suggest, however, as a matter of courtesy and
to maintain harmonious relations with mutual clients and fellow publishers, that you communicate with your neighboring publisher before you enter such a publishers' territory to solicit and/or sell advertising.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Coffee News Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are permitted to solicit and accept advertisements from sources both inside and outside of their exclusive territory. Coffee News does not place any restrictions on outside territory solicitation. However, the FDD suggests that franchisees communicate with neighboring Coffee News publishers before soliciting or selling advertising in their territories. This suggestion is presented as a matter of courtesy and to maintain harmonious relations with mutual clients and fellow publishers.
This policy has several implications for prospective franchisees. While franchisees have the freedom to seek advertising clients wherever they deem appropriate, they are encouraged to maintain open communication with neighboring publishers. This can help prevent conflicts and foster a collaborative environment within the Coffee News franchise system. By communicating with neighboring publishers, franchisees can avoid inadvertently stepping on each other's toes and potentially damaging relationships with shared clients.
It is important to note that this communication is only a suggestion, not a requirement. Franchisees are not obligated to seek permission or approval from neighboring publishers before soliciting advertising in their territories. However, following this suggestion can contribute to a more positive and cooperative atmosphere among franchisees, which may ultimately benefit everyone involved. This approach aligns with common franchise practices that emphasize collaboration and mutual support among franchisees to strengthen the overall brand.
Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to communicate with neighboring publishers before soliciting advertising in their territories rests with each individual Coffee News franchisee. However, considering the potential benefits of maintaining harmonious relations, it may be a worthwhile practice to adopt.
