What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Coffee News Franchise Disclosure Document, the specific actions a franchisee must take to guarantee error-free advertisements are not explicitly detailed. However, the FDD does outline the franchisee's responsibility for the content they post, including advertisements, particularly within the context of social media. Franchisees are expected to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, ensuring that their posts are truthful and not misleading. They must also avoid defaming competitors, misusing copyrighted material, or violating privacy laws.
While the FDD doesn't provide a step-by-step guide to error-free ads, it emphasizes the franchisee's role in ensuring accuracy and compliance. This suggests that franchisees should implement their own quality control measures, such as proofreading and fact-checking, to minimize errors. Additionally, franchisees should stay informed about advertising regulations and guidelines to avoid legal issues.
To gain a clearer understanding of the franchisor's expectations for advertisement accuracy and error prevention, a prospective Coffee News franchisee should directly ask the franchisor about any specific procedures, training, or resources provided to help franchisees create error-free advertisements. This inquiry should also cover the approval process for advertisements and any potential liabilities for incorrect or misleading content.
