Before you publish your first edition of Coffee News,
- We will provide you upon your initial franchise fee payments an operations manual describing how to arrange the distribution of the Periodical within your geographic area, how to sell advertising, how advertising in the Periodical operates, how to design such advertisements, how to determine the suggested pricing of advertising, and how to determine coverage areas as well as including sample filler advertisements, office supply samples of insertion orders, business cards, envelops, and monthly sales envelops for your use in producing your own supplies of such materials (Franchise Agreement Section 7.1). Responsibility for the sale of advertisements rests solely with you.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Coffee News Franchise Disclosure Document, before a franchisee publishes their first edition of Coffee News, they will receive an operations manual. This manual details how to arrange periodical distribution within their area, sell advertising, understand periodical advertising operations, design advertisements, determine advertising pricing, and define coverage areas.
Additionally, the manual includes sample filler advertisements and office supply samples, such as insertion orders, business cards, envelopes, and monthly sales envelopes. These samples are intended for the franchisee to use as templates for producing their own materials. The FDD specifies that the responsibility for advertisement sales rests solely with the franchisee.
Furthermore, the Coffee News License Agreement includes a sample Promissory Note as Schedule B. After the franchisee publishes their first edition, Coffee News will provide support services deemed reasonable and advisable by them.
