What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Coffee News Franchise Disclosure Document, the one-time training fee of $2,900.00 is included within the initial franchise fee of $9,900.00. This means that the training fee is not an additional cost but rather a portion of the larger initial franchise fee. This one-time fee applies only to new Coffee News publishers entering the system. The training covers mentoring and startup services.
Coffee News provides all new publishers with access to pre-opening training materials and a mentor training program once the franchise agreement is signed. This suggests that franchisees can begin their training and preparation immediately after formalizing the agreement, allowing them to start the business as soon as possible.
In addition to the initial training, Coffee News also offers a Coffee News College program that takes place every 8 to 13 weeks for all North American publishers and franchisees. While attendance to the initial training program is mandatory for business owners and their principal officers, travel expenses to attend the Coffee News College are not included. Existing publishers can voluntarily attend future initial training programs at their own expense.
