What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Coffee News's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the fee for the first five additional franchises is due on the first day of the tenth month after signing the initial franchise agreement. After this initial payment, subsequent fees for each additional group of five or fewer franchises are due every six months thereafter. This payment schedule applies to additional franchises for the hardcopy periodical.
Specifically, the initial franchise agreement will stipulate the agreed-upon amount for additional franchises. For franchises agreed to after the initial agreement, the fee of $7,000.00 per additional franchise is due at the signing of the agreement. These fees are payable via credit/debit cards, check, or PayPal.
This payment structure gives franchisees time to start operating their entire territory before reaching the maximum weekly fee. Franchisees have the option to return the remaining franchises every six months if they cannot put them into operation. Alternatively, franchisees can maintain possession of the franchises by paying the next level of weekly fees, even if the franchises are not yet operational.
