What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Coffee News Franchise Disclosure Document, Coffee News College is offered every 8 to 13 weeks for all North American publishers and franchisees. The business owners and their principal officers are required to attend the initial training program. However, travel expenses to Coffee News College are not included in the franchise fee, so franchisees are responsible for covering these costs themselves.
While attendance to the initial training program is mandatory, existing Coffee News publishers can voluntarily attend future initial training programs, but they must cover their own expenses. This suggests that Coffee News is committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities to its franchisees, but it also expects franchisees to invest in their own professional growth.
Prospective franchisees should consider the frequency of Coffee News College and the associated travel costs when evaluating the overall investment required to start and operate a Coffee News franchise. It would be prudent to inquire about the typical location of Coffee News College to estimate travel expenses accurately.
