What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Coffee News' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all new publishers receive access to a mentor training program. Upon signing the Franchise Agreement and paying the initial franchise fee, Coffee News provides new publishers with access to all necessary pre-opening training materials and the mentor training program. This mentoring program is part of the overall training and support system that Coffee News offers to help new franchisees get started.
In addition to the mentoring program, Coffee News offers a two to three-day Coffee News College every 8-13 weeks for all new North American franchisees. This in-person training program is mandatory for the business owners and their principal officers. The training includes lectures and hands-on involvement from veteran franchisees and corporate staff, covering topics such as sales, advertisement design, billing, collections, distribution, and marketing. This provides an opportunity for new franchisees to network with experienced franchisees.
The initial training program is included in the initial franchise fee of $9,900, which also covers a one-time training fee of $2,900. Franchisees are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses. Subsequent training programs are also available, but attendance will be at the franchisee's own expense. This comprehensive training approach, including the mentoring program and in-person training, aims to equip new Coffee News publishers with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully launch and operate their franchise.
