What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Coffee News Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for adhering to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as the terms and conditions set by third-party social media sites. This obligation extends to the content they post on social media platforms. Coffee News will not be held liable for a franchisee's use of social media sites. Furthermore, Coffee News is not obligated to monitor a franchisee's compliance with these laws, regulations, and third-party terms. Any approval by Coffee News regarding the use of social media sites does not guarantee that franchisees are compliant with all applicable laws, regulations, and terms. Franchisees are responsible for ensuring that their employees, representatives, and agents also comply with these requirements, as outlined in the Coffee News Social Media Policies included as Schedule D in the Franchise Agreement.
This means that a prospective Coffee News franchisee must understand and comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as the specific rules of any social media platforms they use for their Coffee News business. This includes, but is not limited to, laws regarding advertising, privacy, intellectual property, and ethical standards. Failure to comply with these regulations could result in legal consequences for the franchisee.
It is common practice in franchising for franchisees to be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary permits, licenses, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This allocation of responsibility ensures that franchisees are directly accountable for their business operations and that they understand the legal requirements for operating in their specific location. Prospective Coffee News franchisees should carefully review Schedule D and consult with legal counsel to ensure they fully understand their obligations.
