What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Coffee News Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee is $9,900. This fee grants new publishers access to pre-opening training materials and the mentor training program upon signing the agreement and paying the fee. A one-time training fee of $2,900 is included within this initial franchise fee.

This initial fee covers the cost of the initial training program, so franchisees do not have to pay extra for the training itself. However, franchisees are responsible for covering their own travel and hotel expenses while attending the training. The training program is available in person and is required for all signatories, typically the business owners and principal officers of the entity, to the agreement.

It is important to note that the initial fees and payments are due in full once Coffee News completes all pre-opening obligations as outlined in the franchise agreement. Additionally, if a franchisee purchases a minimum of four franchises with financing, they must attend the next Coffee News College at the time of purchase, with the training fees already accounted for in the initial franchise fee.
