What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Closet Storage Concepts FDD, the franchisee is solely responsible for all employment decisions within their franchised business. This includes hiring, firing, disciplining, supervising, setting employment terms and compensation, and implementing employee training programs. The franchisee must adhere to the training standards and procedures specified by Closet Storage Concepts to ensure the business operates in compliance with the franchisor's requirements.

This means that as a Closet Storage Concepts franchisee, you have complete control over your staff. You will make all decisions related to staffing, but you must also ensure that your employees are properly trained according to Closet Storage Concepts' standards. This ensures consistency across all franchise locations and protects the brand's reputation.

It is important to note that the franchisee must not represent or imply to employees or prospective employees that they are employed by Closet Storage Concepts itself. This distinction clarifies that the employees work for the franchisee's independent business, not the overarching franchise company. This is a common arrangement in franchising, where franchisees are independent business owners responsible for their own operations and personnel.
