What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Closet Storage Concepts franchisees can suggest new products, services, or other developments to the franchisor for use in their businesses and other Closet Storage Concepts System businesses. However, franchisees cannot offer new products or services to customers or use any new developments until Closet Storage Concepts has tested them and provided written approval, including standards and specifications for their use.
All new services and developments, whether originally designed by the franchisee or variations of existing ones, are considered works made for hire, with Closet Storage Concepts owning all rights to them. If these do not qualify as works made for hire, the franchisee assigns ownership of all rights in these services and developments, including associated goodwill, to Closet Storage Concepts by signing the Franchise Agreement. The franchisee will not receive any payment or adjustment from Closet Storage Concepts for any new products, services, or developments.
Closet Storage Concepts retains the right to require all franchisees in the System, including the franchisee, to discontinue using any products if their continued use becomes unfeasible, unprofitable, or otherwise undesirable. Upon such discontinuance, the license granted for those products is terminated.
