What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Closet Storage Concepts' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, while Closet Storage Concepts will provide advice, guidance, and a general layout for the showroom site, they do not provide construction plans. The franchisee is responsible for ensuring the showroom complies with all local building codes, ordinances, and requirements, as well as obtaining all necessary permits and licenses. The franchisee also bears all costs associated with the construction or remodeling of the showroom.
Closet Storage Concepts will provide a list of suppliers and written specifications for all necessary equipment, goods, products, and supplies, along with an opening inventory of franchise products, design layouts, and supplies. However, Closet Storage Concepts does not construct, remodel, or decorate the showroom for the franchisee. They also reserve the right to set maximum and minimum prices for products and services.
This means that a prospective Closet Storage Concepts franchisee needs to factor in the costs of developing construction plans and completing the build-out of their showroom. It is important to consult with local contractors and building professionals to ensure compliance with all regulations and to obtain accurate cost estimates. The franchisee should also independently evaluate and investigate the proposed site, observing customer traffic patterns and speaking with other tenants.
