What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Closet Storage Concepts' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at programs, seminars, or conventions is mandatory. Franchisees are responsible for covering all travel and lodging expenses for themselves and their employees when attending these events. In addition to travel and lodging costs, Closet Storage Concepts franchisees must also pay the franchisor's then-current fee to attend these programs, seminars, or conventions.
This means that franchisees should budget not only for transportation and accommodation but also for a direct fee payable to Closet Storage Concepts for the privilege of attending these mandatory events. The FDD does not specify the amount of this fee, so prospective franchisees should inquire about the current fee schedule to accurately estimate their potential expenses.
Many franchisors conduct regular training programs, seminars, and conventions to keep franchisees updated on best practices, new products or services, and changes in the market. While it is common for franchisees to cover their own travel and lodging, it is less common to be charged a separate attendance fee. Franchisees should consider this additional cost when evaluating the overall financial commitment of investing in a Closet Storage Concepts franchise.
