Is additional training offered by Closet Storage Concepts mandatory or optional?

- As we deem necessary, offer additional training to you and your management and supervisory personnel, including your designated manager (if you decide to employ a designated manager) which may be optional or mandatory. (Franchise Agreement - Section 4.3).
We reserve the right to offer refresher courses and supplemental training programs, which may be optional or mandatory, from time to time. You shall be responsible for the personal expenses, including transportation to and from the training site and lodging, meals, and salaries during training, for individuals attending any refresher or supplemental training. You shall pay our then-current tuition for any individual attending refresher courses or supplemental training. If our representatives must travel to provide the training, you must pay their travel costs and expenses. (Franchise Agreement - Section 4.4).
If we decide you are not ready to begin the management of your franchise, we may require
you to complete refresher or supplemental training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Closet Storage Concepts' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, additional training may be either optional or mandatory. Closet Storage Concepts will offer additional training to franchisees and their personnel as they deem necessary.
Closet Storage Concepts also reserves the right to offer refresher courses and supplemental training programs, which may also be optional or mandatory. The franchisee is responsible for the personal expenses, including transportation, lodging, meals, and salaries during training, for individuals attending any refresher or supplemental training.
Furthermore, the franchisee must pay Closet Storage Concepts' then-current tuition for any individual attending refresher courses or supplemental training. If Closet Storage Concepts' representatives must travel to provide the training, the franchisee must pay their travel costs and expenses. If Closet Storage Concepts decides a franchisee is not ready to manage their franchise, they may require the franchisee to complete refresher or supplemental training.
