What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cinnaholic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to conduct a grand opening promotion when opening their bakery. The franchisee is responsible for covering all costs associated with the grand opening, including publicity, pre and/or post-opening coaching, promotional expenses, and any price reductions or customer inducements offered. A specific requirement is that $1,500 to $2,000 of the total grand opening budget must be allocated to a public relations vendor that Cinnaholic approves or designates.

The FDD specifies a minimum spending requirement of $5,000 for the grand opening promotion. This amount must be spent within a defined period: 30 days before and 60 days after the bakery's opening. If the franchisee purchases an existing Cinnaholic bakery, the $5,000 must be spent within 60 days after the purchase.

Furthermore, Cinnaholic requires franchisees to obtain pre and/or post-opening coaching from a vendor that Cinnaholic designates. The cost of this coaching counts toward the overall required grand opening promotion expenditures. This ensures that franchisees receive guidance during the critical launch phase, while also contributing to the required minimum spending on the grand opening.
