What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnaholic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, when a Development Agreement is in place, Cinnaholic will notify the developer of areas that have been assigned to other franchisees, whether as exclusive territories or areas of responsibility. This notification is important for prospective developers as it informs them of where they cannot establish a Cinnaholic Bakery.
Under the Development Agreement, the developer is not granted an exclusive territory but rather an Area of Responsibility within which to focus their development efforts. Cinnaholic retains the right to determine or approve the locations of future units and any territories for those units. The then-current standards for sites and territories will apply.
A developer may establish a Cinnaholic Bakery at any location within their Area of Responsibility, provided that Cinnaholic consents to the location, the location is in a state where Cinnaholic is permitted to sell franchises, and the location is not located in another franchisee's franchise territory or area of responsibility. This highlights the importance of Cinnaholic's notification regarding assigned areas, as it directly impacts the developer's ability to establish new bakeries.
