What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnaholic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must provide written notice of their election to renew their franchise no less than six months before the expiration of the initial 10-year term. This requirement ensures that Cinnaholic has ample time to plan for the future of the franchise location, whether it continues under the existing franchisee or transitions to a new operator.
In addition to providing timely notice, the franchisee must also be in good standing with Cinnaholic to be eligible for renewal. This means the franchisee must not be in default of any provision of the Franchise Agreement or any other agreement with Cinnaholic or its affiliates. They must also have fully and faithfully performed all of their obligations under the agreements throughout their terms. This condition ensures that only franchisees who have consistently met Cinnaholic's standards and fulfilled their contractual obligations are granted the opportunity to renew their franchise.
The renewal term for a Cinnaholic franchise is an additional 10-year period. Meeting the notification deadline and remaining in good standing are critical for franchisees who wish to continue operating their Cinnaholic bakery beyond the initial term. Failing to meet these conditions could result in the franchisee losing the right to renew and potentially losing their business.
