What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnaholic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must conduct a grand opening promotion. This promotion is designed to introduce, or re-introduce if purchasing an existing bakery, the Cinnaholic bakery to the public.
The grand opening promotion must occur during a specific timeframe relative to the bakery's opening. This timeframe spans 30 days prior to the opening and extends to 60 days after the opening. If the franchisee is purchasing an existing bakery, the same 60-day period applies, starting from the date of the bakery's transfer to the new franchisee.
Cinnaholic requires a minimum spend of $5,000 on the grand opening promotion. A portion of this, between $1,500 and $2,000, must be allocated to a public relations vendor approved by Cinnaholic. The grand opening promotion may also include pre- and post-opening coaching from a Cinnaholic-designated vendor, with the cost of this coaching counting towards the overall $5,000 grand opening expenditure. Franchisees must use any marketing or advertising programs and materials that Cinnaholic has developed or approved for the grand opening.
