What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cinnaholic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must maintain their bakery in a specific condition at all times. The Cinnaholic franchisee is required to maintain the bakery, including all machinery, equipment, fixtures, furnishings, furniture, décor, premises, parking areas, landscape areas (if any), and interior and exterior signs, in an excellent, clean, attractive, and safe condition. This must align with both the Operations Manual and Cinnaholic's high standards and public image.
To ensure the bakery remains in top condition, the franchisee must promptly make all necessary repairs and replacements. This is crucial for maintaining the highest degree of sanitation, repair, and overall condition, which in turn helps to maximize efficiency and productivity. However, franchisees cannot undertake any alterations or additions to the buildings, equipment, premises, or parking areas without obtaining prior written approval from Cinnaholic. Regular maintenance and repairs are permitted, but any significant changes require franchisor approval.
Cinnaholic also has the right to change its image or standards of operation, and franchisees must comply with these changes within a reasonable timeframe. If a specific timeframe isn't provided, franchisees have 30 days after notification to implement the changes. Additionally, franchisees are required to maintain maintenance and/or service contracts on all equipment and machinery designated by Cinnaholic, and Cinnaholic has the right to designate the vendors and requirements for these contracts. These stipulations ensure that all Cinnaholic locations maintain a consistent brand image and operational standard, which is typical in franchising to protect brand reputation and customer experience.
