What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Churchs Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, a transferee and their designated employees must complete certain training programs unless Churchs Chicken waives this requirement. Specifically, the transferee and designated employees must complete the New Franchisee Orientation Program (NFOP), the Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program, and any additional training programs that Churchs Chicken requires.
The NFOP is a 2-day program held at a training facility designated by Churchs Chicken. While Churchs Chicken covers the administrative expenses for the NFOP, the transferee is responsible for all travel, living, and other expenses incurred by themselves and their employees while attending the NFOP. The MIT Program takes place at a Certified Training Restaurant (CTR) and consists of up to four weeks of classroom and restaurant operations training. If the franchisee is new to the restaurant industry, Churchs Chicken may require an additional week of training.
Churchs Chicken may also require the Operating Principal, restaurant managers, and any other employees to take and complete other training courses in addition to the MIT Program. The franchisee is responsible for tuition fees and all travel, living, and other expenses incurred by employees while attending these additional training programs. Franchisees must also establish their restaurant as a CTR within 90 days of opening their first franchised location to conduct the MIT Program and other training programs for their employees and other Churchs Chicken franchisees.
