- We will establish uniform criteria for approving suppliers and will make reasonable efforts to share our standards and specifications with your prospective suppliers on your written request. We may choose not to make available to prospective suppliers the standards and specifications for any food formula or equipment design that we deem to be confidential. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Churchs Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Churchs Chicken will establish uniform criteria for approving suppliers. Upon a franchisee's written request, Churchs Chicken will make reasonable efforts to share its standards and specifications with prospective suppliers.
However, Churchs Chicken retains the right to withhold standards and specifications for any food formula or equipment design it deems confidential. This means that while Churchs Chicken is generally willing to work with a franchisee's preferred suppliers, it ultimately controls which suppliers are approved and may not disclose proprietary information.
For a prospective Churchs Chicken franchisee, this policy means they may have some flexibility in choosing suppliers, but they should also be prepared to use suppliers approved by Churchs Chicken. It would be prudent for a potential franchisee to discuss supplier selection and approval in detail with Churchs Chicken during their due diligence to fully understand the scope of allowable supplier options and any limitations.
