What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Churchs Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, whether a transferee is required to complete the New Franchisee Orientation Program (NFOP) and the Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program is at the discretion of Cajun, the franchisor. The FDD states that unless Cajun waives these requirements, the transferee and their designated employees must complete both the NFOP and the MIT Program, along with any other training programs that Cajun deems necessary.

This means that if you are considering purchasing an existing Churchs Chicken franchise, you should not automatically assume that you or your employees will be exempt from these training programs. The need for training will be evaluated by Churchs Chicken during the transfer approval process.

Prospective franchisees should discuss the potential for waivers with Churchs Chicken directly to understand the specific conditions under which these training requirements might be waived. Factors that could influence this decision might include the transferee's prior experience in the restaurant industry, the performance history of the franchise being transferred, and the transferee's demonstrated understanding of Churchs Chicken's operating standards.
