What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Churchs Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase equipment and related services to stay updated with communications regarding the brand. Churchs Chicken may supplement or amend the manual from time to time by various methods, and the franchisee must have the means to receive these updates. This includes purchasing necessary equipment to access electronic communications.

This requirement ensures that all franchisees receive critical updates to the Churchs Chicken system, maintaining consistency and adherence to brand standards across all locations. The cost of this equipment is borne by the franchisee, representing an additional investment beyond the initial franchise fee and startup costs. The specific types of equipment needed may evolve as Churchs Chicken updates its communication methods, potentially requiring franchisees to upgrade or replace equipment over time.

Prospective Churchs Chicken franchisees should consider the ongoing costs of maintaining the required technology and equipment. It is important to factor in potential upgrade expenses when evaluating the overall financial investment. Franchisees should also clarify with Churchs Chicken what specific equipment is currently required and what the typical lifespan and upgrade cycle for such equipment has been in the past to better estimate these costs.
