What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Churchs Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, DT Timers are defined as drive-thru timers and associated hardware and software. Churchs Chicken requires franchisees to obtain, install, and use DT Timers as specified in writing. While franchisees have preferred vendors to choose from, the number of drive-thru lanes at the restaurant may dictate the need for additional DT Timers.

This requirement ensures that Churchs Chicken restaurants maintain consistent operational standards and can accurately measure and manage the speed of service at the drive-thru. By using approved DT Timers, franchisees can track key performance indicators related to drive-thru efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to improve customer service and throughput. This data-driven approach helps franchisees optimize their operations and enhance the overall customer experience.

Prospective franchisees should inquire with Churchs Chicken about the specific types of DT Timers approved for use, the preferred vendors, and the costs associated with purchasing, installing, and maintaining these systems. Understanding these requirements and associated costs is crucial for budgeting and planning the restaurant's operations. Additionally, franchisees should clarify whether the franchisor provides any training or support for using the DT Timers and interpreting the data they generate.
