Chocolate_Fish_Coffee Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
We issue specifications and standards to you for applicable aspects of the franchise in our Manual and/or in written directives. We may issue new specifications and standards for any aspect of our brand system, or modify existing specifications and standards, at any time by revising our Manual and/or issuing new written directives (which may be communicated to you by any method we choose). We will generally (but are not obligated to) issue new or revised specifications only after thorough testing in our headquarters, in company-owned outlets, and/or a limited market test in multiple units.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chocolate Fish Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the specifications and standards for the franchise are documented in the Brand Standards/Operations Manual and/or in written directives. These specifications apply to various aspects of the franchise. Chocolate Fish Coffee may modify existing specifications and standards or issue new ones at any time.
These changes can be communicated by revising the Manual or issuing new written directives, which may be communicated through any method Chocolate Fish Coffee chooses. While Chocolate Fish Coffee generally tests new or revised specifications at its headquarters, company-owned outlets, or through limited market tests in multiple units, it is not obligated to do so.
For a prospective Chocolate Fish Coffee franchisee, this means that the operational guidelines and requirements of the franchise can change. Franchisees must stay updated with any revisions to the manual or new directives from Chocolate Fish Coffee to ensure compliance. The ability of Chocolate Fish Coffee to change standards without a guaranteed testing period introduces a degree of uncertainty for franchisees, as they may need to adapt quickly to new requirements.
