What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chocolate Fish Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chocolate Fish Coffee will provide franchisees with suggested staffing levels. Specifically, Chocolate Fish Coffee will provide suggested staffing levels and guidelines for hiring employees.
This means that as a Chocolate Fish Coffee franchisee, you will receive guidance from the franchisor on how many employees you should have and what qualities to look for when hiring. This can be particularly helpful for new franchisees who may not have experience in the coffee shop industry or in managing employees. However, the FDD also states that all hiring decisions and conditions of employment are the franchisee's sole responsibility.
While Chocolate Fish Coffee offers support in suggesting staffing levels and hiring guidelines, the ultimate responsibility for hiring, training, and managing employees rests with the franchisee. This is a common arrangement in franchising, where the franchisor provides guidance and support, but the franchisee is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their business.
