What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chesters' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the $200 marketing support fee, which is paid four times per year, is due by credit card or ACH transfer. This fee covers physical marketing materials prepared and sent by Chesters, as well as digital marketing campaigns aimed at building brand awareness and driving traffic to the franchisee's location.
Chesters may also implement special offerings or promotions throughout the year, such as limited-time offers, and send supplemental marketing materials for these, costing up to $200 per special offering or promotion. The FDD states that Chesters may increase the quarterly Marketing Support Fee upon 90 days' prior written notice, but it will not exceed $325 per quarter.
It is important for prospective franchisees to note that the marketing support fee is a recurring expense, and while it starts at $200 per quarter, it could increase to $325 per quarter with sufficient notice. Franchisees should factor these potential increases into their financial projections. The payment methods are limited to credit card or ACH transfer, so franchisees must ensure they have the ability to pay through one of these methods.
