Chesters operates and grants franchises for quick-service restaurants under its corporate name and the CHESTER'S trademark. These restaurants primarily sell chicken and sides. Chesters began offering restaurant franchises in January 2008. Prior to this, from March 1, 2004, through December 2007, a former affiliate named Chester's International, LLC (referred to as the "First Chester's") offered CHESTER'S Restaurant franchises.
The franchises offered by Chesters are mainly for restaurants located within existing retail businesses, such as convenience stores, which is known as the "Restaurant-in-Store" concept. However, Chesters also occasionally offers franchises for restaurants in food courts, strip malls, or other non-traditional locations like sports arenas or stadiums. The FDD notes that certain information, such as outlet details in Item 20, covers all CHESTER'S Restaurants regardless of location, as they operate under the same brand and sell the same products.
