What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Chesters Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase specific ingredients to prepare the Chester's menu. These required ingredients include, but are not limited to, breading, fresh poultry, dipping sauces, frozen side items, and paper products.

Chesters licenses certain suppliers to prepare these ingredients using proprietary formulas. These suppliers then sell what the FDD refers to as 'Proprietary Goods' to designated distributors. Franchisees are then required to purchase these Proprietary Goods from one or more of Chesters' designated distributors.

It is important to note that Chesters retains the right to change these purchasing requirements from time to time. This means that the specific ingredients and suppliers could change during the term of the franchise agreement. Prospective franchisees should clarify with Chesters what the process is for changing suppliers and how much advance notice is given. This will allow them to prepare for any potential changes in cost or supply chain logistics.
