What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chesters's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before certain employees can complete the initial brand standard training program at the Chesters location, Chesters must determine, in its sole judgment, that the restaurant has satisfactorily completed its restaurant readiness review process. The number and level of employees required to complete the training will be specified by Chesters. This training must be completed before the restaurant begins operations.
This means that a prospective Chesters franchisee must first pass a readiness review, which is an assessment by Chesters to ensure the restaurant is prepared to operate according to their standards. Only after this review is successfully completed will designated employees be allowed to participate in the brand standard training program. This ensures that the staff is properly trained before the restaurant opens to the public.
Chesters also maintains the right to provide additional training programs as deemed appropriate and will advise on restaurant operations, new developments, techniques, and improvements in areas of restaurant management, food preparation, sales promotion, and service. This ongoing support aims to keep the franchisee aligned with the latest standards and practices of the Chesters system. The franchisee is responsible for a $3,500 training fee, which is due upon the effective date of the agreement and is non-refundable.
