- (b) Marketing Support Fee. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chesters's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay a marketing support fee of $200 four times per year. These payments are due on dates designated by Chesters. The marketing support fee covers a combination of physical marketing materials that Chesters will prepare and send to the franchisee, as well as digital marketing campaigns designed to build brand awareness and drive traffic to the franchisee's location.
In addition to the regular marketing support fee, Chesters may implement special offerings or promotions throughout the year, such as limited-time offers. If Chesters decides to implement these special offerings, they may send franchisees supplemental marketing materials and other items related to those offerings. For each of these special offerings or promotions, Chesters may require franchisees to pay up to $200 per offering or promotion.
It's also important to note that Chesters retains the right to increase the quarterly marketing support fee, but they must provide franchisees with 90 days' prior written notice before doing so. However, the quarterly fee will not exceed $325 per quarter. This means that while the fee can increase, there is a limit to how much it can increase in any given quarter.
