What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chesters's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before a Chesters restaurant can begin operations, Chesters must determine that the restaurant has satisfactorily completed its restaurant readiness review process. Following this determination, certain employees, the number and level of which Chesters specifies, must satisfactorily complete Chesters's initial brand standard training program at the location.

This means that a prospective franchisee cannot open their Chesters restaurant until Chesters is satisfied with the restaurant's readiness and the designated employees have successfully completed the required training program. This ensures that the restaurant meets Chesters's standards and that the staff is properly trained to operate the business according to the franchisor's guidelines.

Chesters also maintains the right to charge franchisees $1,000 per day for any additional training deemed necessary if the restaurant fails an inspection, including not being prepared for training, at Chesters's sole discretion, even if the franchisee indicated otherwise. Payment for such charges is due via credit card or ACH transfer upon notification of the failed inspection.
