What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chesters' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are several key requirements that must be met before a restaurant can commence operations. First, the franchisee must receive prior written approval from Chesters to open the restaurant for business, which is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a restaurant readiness review assessment. This review ensures that the restaurant meets Chesters' standards and is prepared to operate according to the brand's guidelines. Additionally, all construction requirements must be satisfied before opening. However, the franchisee must open the restaurant for business within 180 days after the Effective Date.
Furthermore, certain employees, the number and level of which Chesters specifies, must satisfactorily complete Chesters' initial brand standard training program at the designated location. This training is crucial for ensuring that staff members are well-versed in the operational standards and procedures necessary to maintain the quality and consistency expected of a Chesters franchise.
In summary, a Chesters restaurant cannot begin operations until it has successfully passed the restaurant readiness review, fulfilled all construction obligations, and ensured that the required employees have completed the initial brand standard training program. These measures are in place to protect the Chesters brand and ensure a consistent customer experience across all franchise locations.
