What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Chesters FDD, Chesters will provide an initial brand standard training program at the location to instruct the franchisee and their employees on proper restaurant procedures and techniques. This training is mandatory for certain employees, with the number and level of employees to be specified by Chesters, after the restaurant readiness review process is complete. The training must be satisfactorily completed before the restaurant can begin operations.

Chesters may also provide additional training programs as deemed appropriate. With prior written approval from Chesters, trained managers may train new and additional restaurant employees. However, Chesters may charge for additional or special guidance, assistance, or training that the franchisee needs or requests.

Chesters charges a $3,500 training fee, which is due upon the effective date of the agreement and is non-refundable under any circumstances. Additionally, Chesters has the right to charge $1,000 per day for any additional training they deem necessary if the restaurant fails an inspection, including not being prepared for a training, in Chester's sole discretion, despite indicating otherwise. Payment for failed inspections is due by credit card or ACH transfer once Chesters notifies the franchisee of the failed inspection.
