What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chesters's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for a franchise purchased in Washington, the arbitration or mediation site will be in the state of Washington. However, there are two exceptions to this rule.
First, the location can be a place mutually agreed upon by both Chesters and the franchisee at the time of the arbitration or mediation. This provides flexibility for both parties to find a location that is convenient and cost-effective.
Second, the location can be determined by the arbitrator or mediator at the time of the arbitration or mediation. This allows a neutral third party to decide on the most appropriate location, potentially considering factors such as the location of witnesses or relevant documents. This ensures a fair and impartial process for resolving disputes related to the Chesters franchise agreement.
