What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chesters' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chesters and its agents have the right to enter the franchise location to conduct inspections. These inspections can occur at any time during regular business hours, which the franchisee must provide to their Chester's Representative upon opening.
The franchisee is expected to cooperate with Chesters' representatives during these inspections. Chesters also has the right to conduct additional visits if the restaurant fails any inspection surveys, is temporarily closed, or if the franchisee interferes with the inspection process.
Chesters may charge the franchisee $300 for each required revisit after a failed inspection. This payment is due via credit card or ACH transfer upon notification. If the restaurant fails three in-Restaurant inspection surveys, Chesters reserves the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement, which would then trigger the post-term obligations outlined in Section 20 of the agreement.
