What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Capriottis Sandwich Shop Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees may be able to acquire a successor franchise agreement. The term length for a successor franchise is 10 years.
To obtain a successor franchise, Capriottis Sandwich Shop requires franchisees to request and conduct a business review with them no earlier than 12 months, but no later than 9 months before the current franchise term expires. Franchisees must then notify Capriottis Sandwich Shop of their desire to acquire a successor franchise at least 6 months before the franchise term expires.
Additional requirements include that the franchisee has substantially complied with all contractual and other obligations during the franchise term and continues to do so between the date of their notice and the end of the franchise term. Franchisees must also retain occupancy rights for the Restaurant's premises, remodel, upgrade, and re-equip the Restaurant. Finally, neither the franchisee nor their owners can have any pending or threatened litigation or disputes with Capriottis Sandwich Shop, its affiliates, or any approved vendor.
