What is the successor-franchise fee for a Capriottis Sandwich Shop?

According to the 2025 Capriottis Sandwich Shop Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee who meets specific requirements has the option to acquire a successor franchise for another ten years when their initial agreement expires. To obtain this successor franchise, the franchisee must pay Capriottis Sandwich Shop a successor-franchise fee.

The successor-franchise fee is $10,000. However, to be eligible for a successor franchise, the franchisee must meet several conditions. These include requesting a business review with Capriottis Sandwich Shop between twelve and nine months before the end of the current agreement, notifying Capriottis Sandwich Shop of their intent to acquire a successor franchise at least six months before the agreement's end, and substantially complying with all obligations under the existing agreements.

Additional requirements include maintaining the right to occupy the original location, completing necessary remodels and upgrades to meet the current standards for new Capriottis Sandwich Shop restaurants, and resolving any pending litigation or disputes with Capriottis Sandwich Shop or its affiliates. The franchisee must also sign the then-current franchise agreement, which may have terms that differ significantly from the original agreement, and will be modified to reflect that it is for a successor franchise.
