What This Means (2024 FDD)

The 2024 C3 Wellness Spa Franchise Disclosure Document defines 'Competitive Business' to include businesses offering similar services to a C3 Wellness Spa. This definition is relevant because it outlines the scope of activities that could be considered competitive and therefore restricted by the franchise agreement.

According to the FDD, a 'Competitive Business' includes any business that is the same as or similar to a Spa Location Franchise and/or a Spa. This encompasses businesses that offer facial treatment services, medical spa services, IV vitamin therapy, massage therapy services, physical therapy, cosmetic services, topical skin treatments, essential oils, and other spa services. It also includes businesses that offer, sell, and/or provide products and/or services similar to the Approved Spa Products and Services authorized and designated by C3 Wellness Spa.

Furthermore, the definition extends to businesses providing administration, management, or marketing services for any business offering the aforementioned spa and medical services. This broad definition ensures that franchisees are restricted from engaging in or supporting any business that could directly compete with C3 Wellness Spa, even if the competing business focuses on management or marketing rather than direct service provision. This definition is subject to change by C3 Wellness Spa.
