Buona Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must follow our rules, guidelines and requirements when using the Marks. You cannot use our name or the Marks as part of a corporate name or with modifying words, designs, or symbols unless you receive our prior written consent, which we may withhold in our sole discretion. You must indicate to the public in any contract, advertisement and with a conspicuous sign in your Buona Business that you are an independently owned and operated licensed franchisee of ours. You may not use the Marks in the sale of unauthorized services or products or in any manner we do not authorize. All rights and goodwill from the use of the Marks accrue to us.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, when using Buona's trademarks, franchisees must conspicuously display a sign in their Buona Business indicating that they are an independently owned and operated licensed franchisee. This requirement ensures that customers understand the Buona Business is operated by a franchisee and not directly by the Buona corporation itself.
This requirement is a standard practice in franchising, designed to clarify the relationship between the franchisor and franchisee for consumers. It helps to avoid any confusion about who is responsible for the business's operations and service quality. The franchisee is responsible for day-to-day operations, while Buona maintains control over branding and standards.
Buona also maintains control over how its trademarks are used, including stipulations that franchisees cannot use the Buona name or trademarks as part of a corporate name or with modifying words, designs, or symbols without prior written consent from Buona. This ensures brand consistency and protects the integrity of Buona's trademarks. Franchisees must also adhere to Buona's rules and guidelines when using the trademarks, and all rights and goodwill from the use of the trademarks accrue to Buona.
