What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Buona Franchise Disclosure Document, Buona retains the right to inspect a franchisee's operations. To ensure the integrity and proper use of its trademarks, Buona, or its designated agents, can inspect a franchisee's business premises and operations at reasonable times. These inspections include periodic evaluations of the services and products offered.

This provision allows Buona to maintain consistent standards across all franchise locations, protecting the brand's reputation and goodwill. Franchisees are required to cooperate with Buona's representatives during these inspections and provide any assistance reasonably requested. This cooperation is essential for ensuring that the franchisee is adhering to Buona's standards and properly utilizing the trademarks.

The inspections enable Buona to verify that franchisees are meeting the brand's standards for quality, service, and cleanliness. If a franchisee is found to be non-compliant, Buona can take corrective actions to protect its brand. This clause highlights the importance Buona places on maintaining uniformity and quality control throughout its franchise system, which is a common practice in franchising to protect brand value.
