Nothing herein shall be deemed to limit Franchisee's other obligations during the Term to operate the Franchised Business in accordance with Franchisor's standards and specifications for the System including but not limited to the obligations set forth in this Article X.

According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the obligation to perform a Franchised Business Renovation does not limit a franchisee's other obligations to operate the Franchised Business according to Buona's standards. The franchisee is still expected to meet all operational standards, even when undergoing a renovation.
Buona requires franchisees to maintain the premises and all related items to the franchisor's standards. This includes making necessary additions, alterations, improvements, repairs, and replacements as required by Buona. A full reimaging, renovation, refurbishing, and modernization of the Franchised Business is required within a specified timeframe. This includes various elements from building design to equipment and signage, to meet current design criteria.
However, a Franchised Business Renovation is only required once during the term of the agreement, and is not required if there is less than one year remaining in the term. Despite this renovation requirement, the franchisee must still adhere to all other operational standards and specifications set forth by Buona. This ensures that all locations maintain a consistent level of quality and service, protecting the brand's reputation.
