What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to anti-discrimination policies outlined in the Buona Manual. This means that franchisees are legally obligated to avoid discriminating against employees or customers based on race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, national origin, or disability. This requirement extends to all aspects of the business, including the provision of products and services.
For a prospective Buona franchisee, this signifies a commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for both employees and customers. Franchisees must ensure their business practices align with these anti-discrimination policies, which may involve training staff, implementing inclusive marketing strategies, and ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
Failure to comply with these policies can result in legal repercussions and damage to the Buona brand's reputation. Therefore, it is crucial for franchisees to thoroughly understand and implement the anti-discrimination policies detailed in the Manual to maintain ethical and legal compliance.
