What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their business in strict accordance with the uniform methods, standards, and specifications that Buona prescribes. These guidelines are provided in the manual or in writing to ensure consistent quality, service, and cleanliness across all locations.
Buona franchisees are specifically prohibited from deviating from these prescribed methods, standards, and specifications. They must also avoid operating in any manner that could negatively impact Buona's name, goodwill, marks, or the overall system. This requirement ensures that all franchisees maintain a consistent brand image and quality of service, which is crucial for protecting the brand's reputation.
This level of control is typical in franchising, as it allows Buona to maintain consistency and quality across all franchised locations. While it may limit a franchisee's autonomy, it also provides a proven framework for operating the business and reduces the risk of individual franchisees damaging the brand through inconsistent practices.
