According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will incur an estimated monthly cost of $1,500 for required software and applications, in addition to a technology fee. This covers software and applications for customer feedback, online ordering, third-party delivery, loyalty/gift programs, payment processing, phone support, inventory, labor and accounting, restaurant security, third-party delivery, and catering.

Buona franchisees are required to purchase and use a designated Point of Sale (POS) system, currently the Brinks POS system, along with various web-based platforms, software, and applications for operating and marketing the restaurant. As part of the technology fee, franchisees gain access to specific software such as Franconnect for training and internet, Meazure Up for checklists, ProfitKeeper for financial reporting, Brainier for learning management, and guest retention software. However, the $1,500 monthly cost covers other necessary software and applications, for which franchisees pay the providers directly. Franchisees also bear the cost of maintaining their POS and computer systems, including all necessary additions, changes, modifications, substitutions, or replacements to hardware and software. The estimated annual cost to maintain the POS and computer systems is $1,200, in addition to a $125 monthly cost for compliance with data security standards.
