What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Buona retains the right to set maximum resale prices for multi-area marketing programs and special price promotions. This means that while a franchisee is generally responsible for setting their own prices, Buona can step in and cap prices when it comes to larger marketing initiatives.
This policy enables Buona to maintain consistent pricing and brand image across different locations and marketing campaigns. For a franchisee, this could mean less flexibility in pricing strategies during specific promotions, but it also ensures that no single location undercuts the others in a way that could damage the brand's overall value.
It is important for prospective franchisees to understand that while they have some autonomy in setting prices, Buona can intervene to control pricing during multi-area marketing programs. This is a fairly common practice in franchising, as it allows the franchisor to maintain brand consistency and prevent price wars between franchisees.
