What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a "Mobile Application" or "Mobile App" is defined as a software application designed for use on mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, rather than desktop or laptop computers.

Buona retains the sole right to develop mobile applications using their trademarks and relating to the operation of the franchised business. However, Buona may require franchisees to participate in and use any mobile applications that Buona designates. If required, franchisees must comply with Buona's guidelines, specifications, standards, policies, or procedures on mobile applications, as outlined in the manuals or in writing.

This means that while franchisees may be required to use mobile applications in their business operations, they do not have the right to develop their own applications using Buona's branding. Franchisees must adhere to Buona's standards and guidelines when using these applications. This ensures consistency across all franchised locations and allows Buona to maintain control over its brand and customer experience in the digital space.
