What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, no Buona franchisees had an outlet terminated, canceled, not renewed, or otherwise voluntarily or involuntarily ceased to do business under the franchise agreement. This indicates that all franchisees in the system remained in good standing and continued operating their businesses during that period. This information is crucial for potential franchisees as it provides insight into the stability and success rate of existing Buona franchise locations. A history of franchise terminations or non-renewals could signal potential issues with the franchise system or business model.
Additionally, the FDD states that a list of all franchisees as of December 31, 2024, including their addresses and telephone numbers, is attached as Exhibit G. This list can be a valuable resource for prospective franchisees, allowing them to contact current franchisees and gather firsthand information about their experiences with the Buona franchise system. The FDD also mentions that there were no franchisees who had not communicated with Buona within 10 weeks of the date of the Franchise Disclosure Document. This suggests that Buona maintains regular communication with its franchisees.
Furthermore, the FDD confirms that Buona has not required any franchisees to sign confidentiality agreements restricting their ability to speak openly about their experiences with the system. This transparency can be beneficial for potential franchisees, as it allows them to obtain honest and unbiased feedback from existing franchisees. The document also states that there is no trademark-specific franchisee organization associated with the Buona system that the company has created, sponsored, or endorsed, nor are there any independent franchisee organizations that have asked to be included in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
