What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buona's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, participation in the National Accounts Program requires a franchisee to meet specific criteria. First, the franchisee must be and remain in compliance with the Franchise Agreement. This means adhering to all the terms and conditions outlined in the agreement, ensuring the Buona business operates according to the franchisor's standards. Second, the franchisee must agree to comply with Buona's published standards, policies, and procedures for participation in the National Accounts Program, which may be modified or supplemented over time.

In addition to these general requirements, a Buona franchisee must also comply with the specific requirements of any particular National Account they wish to serve. This implies that each National Account may have its own unique demands or standards that the franchisee must meet to provide services. However, the franchisee has the right to decline participation in the National Accounts Program altogether or with respect to a specific National Account, providing some flexibility in their business operations.

It's important to note that Buona retains significant control over the National Accounts Program, including the discretion to determine the best methods for pursuing, negotiating, and servicing these accounts. Buona also establishes the terms for each National Account contract based on the needs of the account, the franchisor, the system, and the franchisees. This framework ensures that National Accounts are managed in a way that benefits the entire Buona franchise system, but it also means that franchisees must be prepared to adapt to the franchisor's decisions and guidelines.
