What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumper Man's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Washington Addendum does indeed modify the Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement, and all related agreements. This modification applies if the franchise offer is accepted in Washington, the purchaser is a Washington resident, or the franchised business is located or operated in Washington.

Specifically, the FDD states that the provisions of the Addendum form an integral part of and are incorporated into these agreements, regardless of any conflicting information within them. This means that any clause in the franchise agreement or related documents that contradicts the Washington Addendum will be superseded by the Addendum's terms for Bumper Man franchises operating in Washington.

This is a crucial point for prospective franchisees in Washington to understand. They should carefully review the Washington Addendum to identify any modifications to the standard franchise agreement. For example, the addendum addresses conflict of laws, franchisee bill of rights, and site of arbitration, mediation, and/or litigation. Understanding these modifications is essential for making informed decisions about investing in a Bumper Man franchise in Washington, as the addendum directly impacts the franchisee's rights and obligations.
